The amazing community of contributors at Innovators Magazine, active in fields including creativity, frontier technologies, global food systems, biotechnology, and social justice, share stories about the solutions reshaping our world.
A new world which is being created by the types of guests our editor-at-large, Marc Buckley, a global food reformist and member of the World Economic Forum Expert Network, speaks with on the Inside Ideas podcast.
As well as the magazine and podcast we also develop and run events, research initiatives, social media campaigns, and hackathons, to reach new audiences, and help inspire new ways of thinking.
Which has led us to partner on events at the European Parliament; be named media partners at COP23; and develop the world’s first cross-sector awards platform recognising innovative companies and organisations working for the Global Goals.
A paradigm shift in mindsets and behaviours can put the world on a path to a better future, and limiting global temperature rises to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels will help pave the way – and it is the target that inspires our name.
The desire to work for this better world is the essence of the OnePoint5Media story. In choosing to combine their two decades of international experience in communication, journalism and design, to be part of the growing movement pushing for a better world, Susan Robertson and Iain Robertson, along with daughter Holly, have established what has become a OnePoint5Media community, including the OnePoint5Media podcast host Marc Buckley – and other creatives and innovators on a collective mission to do everything they can to secure a desirable future.
The journey so far has seen OnePoint5Media work on a range of major projects worldwide, in the European Parliament, with UN Climate Conferences, Foundations, as well as with private and public sector companies.
And this journey OnePoint5Media – a Robertson Partnership business – is on, is very much a continuing story of hope – and the pursuit of justice, which Flora Robertson, a native Gaelic-speaker from Skye, Scotland, first had the courage to follow in the 1930s…it is one of her many legacies – and an example of the human spirit that will secure a better future for the world.

We will do this by working towards achieving the Paris Agreement and Fulfilling the 6 transformations needed to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The SDGs are an infrastructure and an entirely new economic model that is a historical moment in history when 197 countries agreed to keep warming at Global warming at 1.5 degrees and the Paris Agreement.
Achieving UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) requires an all-hands, coordinated effort across stakeholders globally and working at the population scale. The role of the social sector in achieving global impact is crucial but social sector organizations (SSOs) often work in isolation and are not able to connect their impact creation with the larger global picture. Traditional, uncoordinated direct-services approaches have produced limited impact, way short of what is required to achieve UN’s SDGs by 2030.
There is therefore the need to transform how the world sees and addresses global challenges. Local projects need to connect with regional and national ones which in turn need to connect with global goals since all of these challenges are one continuum. What is becoming very clear is the need to look at problems systemically and address them by changing the rules that underlie systems.
The actors involved in global systems change are many and diverse. They include civil society, social enterprises, businesses, governments, and individuals. What has the potential of binding them together is the science and art of systems thinking and its foremost application of systems change. We will also demystify the subject of systems change and unearth how everyone can be a change-maker.
We actively engage in all manner of Global Food Systems Reformation by removing food and agriculture as a commodity in all global trade, localizing food, restoring local production, supporting local economies, ecological economic models, empowering small hold farmers, subsistence agriculture, homesteading, regenerative practices, regenerative agriculture, organics, permaculture, agroecology, agroforestry, holistic land management, synecoculture, and all ecological regenerative systems.
Empowering women and girls with equal rights, pay, and basic rights through nonhierarchy regenerative models of the future that are self-organizing and self-sustaining.
Symbiotic infrastructural transformations towards regenerative global commons and self-sovereign systems of organization.
We also have committed to Resilience Frontiers a UNFCCC initiative and its current 8 pathways to carry well beyond 2050. As a Foundation, we believe a world that works for everyone is based on ecological economics, ecological civilizations that restore and regenerate our earth. That we are part of a Symbiotic Earth and that without this symbiotic phenomenon, we will repeat the same histories of civilization collapse as all the other civilizations in history.
We support the emergence and creation of new ecological economics which move humanity away from extractive and capitalistic economies. Systems governance that works for all life.
Regenerative means creating the conditions conducive for life to continuously renew itself, to transcend into new forms, and flourish amid ever-changing life conditions.
We apply our transformations through systems science and systems thinking with regenerative design and actions to live in Symbiosis with all life. We believe in SEVA and ancient Sanskrit word meaning Regeneration Selfless Service to Life. We desire to achieve a World that Works for Everyone.
Empower and train good stewards and crew members of our spaceship earth. That we all leave the earth better than we found it. Just as the principles of life can form the basis for a healthy civilization, they can also infuse the processor our own transformation. As we know, ecologies are fractal designs, where single cells are part of organisms, which are in turn part of larger communities. Similarly, our own inner transformation has a fractal quality, occurring in relationship with others around us and an engaged awareness of our community’s role within larger systems. A process of emergent strategy, in which relatively simple acts of intentional, transformative practice with others can self-organize into larger structures of societal change.
Just as trees in a healthy forest communicate with and fortify each other through their underground mycorrhizal network, each of us can be most effective in transformative change when we connect with the existing network of lifeaffirming groups, already operating around us.
