The End of Evolution the nature of life and Biodiversity Prof Dr Matthias Glaubrecht

Prof. Dr. Matthias Glaubrecht is my guest on Episode 50 of Inside Ideas with Marc Buckley.

One of the most famous German evolutionary biologists Matthias sees the greatest loss of species since the dinosaurs became extinct as a worldwide biological tragedy. The greatest threat to the existence of all living beings is definitely humans, whose own future is at stake.

The book "The End of Evolution. Man and the Destruction of Species" is not only nominated for the NDR Culture Non-Fiction Prize 2020 as "the best science book of the year" in the field of medicine/biology by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science. Federal Ministry of Education, Science, and Research

Climate change is finally on everyone's lips. However alarming proportions it has assumed it is only a sideline in the face of the apocalyptic horsemen who are currently roaming the earth in an act of devastation: population explosion, scarcity of resources, environmental destruction, and extinction of species.

Whether the end of evolution, which threatens to become a realistic scenario of the 21st century it still can be stopped, will be decided by our actions in the decades immediately ahead.
